The Homer Laughlin China Company names Joe Geisse IV as Master Artisan

Joe has been with the company since May of 1988 and is

the 4th generation in his family to work for The Homer Laughlin

China Company.  He started in an entry level position,

then entered the mold shop in 1989.  After accomplishing all

three levels (mold, case and dye making) of the mold making

trade, he was offered an apprenticeship.  He became a

journeyman modeler in 1993.  In July of 1995, he was

promoted to the position of Senior Modeler.  In his current

position as Master Artisan his duties include:

  • New product development

  • Preparation of various shapes for all aspects of production

  • Market Research/Customer networking at Trade Shows
