The Springfield Restaurant Group is preparing for their third annual

charitable event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. "A Taste of

Springfield's" will be held on Monday, September 9, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

at the Springfield Grille in Mercer, Pennsylvania. This event is a

buffet-style dinner that features creations from all six restaurants in the

Springfield Rest. Group. The price per ticket is $50.00 which includes

dinner, dessert, entertainment, a firework show and door prize drawings.

Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on prizes in a live auction.

All proceeds for "A Taste of Springfield's", including any tips the

employees make during the evening, will be donated to the Make-A-Wish

Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non

profit organization that grants wishes to children under the age of 18 with

life threatening illnesses. Last year, "A Taste of Springfield's" raised a

total of $42,000.00 which was divided between the Make-A-Wish Foundation and

the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. Tickets for "A Taste of

Springfield's" are on sale now at all six restaurant locations as well as at

the Springfield Restaurant Group's Corporate Office. The Springfield

Restaurant Group was established in 1979. It is comprised of the Iron

Bridge Inn and Rachel's Roadhouse, both of Mercer, PA; the Log Cabin Inn of

Harmony, PA; the Springfield Grille located in Mercer, PA and Boardman, OH;

and the Hickory Bar & Grille of Hermitage, PA.
